willkommen zum sechzehnten Teil unserer Rundreise über die Insel Korsika.
After a relaxed day at the Plage de Cupabia, we drove with our rental car from Serra di Ferro south to Bonifazio.
Nach einem Ruhetag am Plage de Cupabia setzten wir uns wieder in den Mietwagen und fuhren von Serra di Ferro Richtung Süden nach Bonifazio.

Just before Bonifacio we made a detour to the Ancien Ermitage de la Trinité.
Kurz vor Bonifacio machten wir einen Abstecher zur Ancien Ermitage de la Trinité.
The small sanctuary is about 200 meters above sea level, and from here you have a nice view over the coast
Das kleine Heiligtum liegt ca. 200 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel, und von hier hat man einen schöne Aussicht über die Küste.
After a short break we went on to Bonifacio. The city is one of the highlights in Corsica. It was built as a fortress on a high rock directly by the sea. Here is a view of Bonifacio, the mountain in the background is the rock at the Ancien Ermitage de la Trinité.
Nach kurzer Pause fuhren wir weiter nach Bonifacio. Die Stadt ist eines der Highlights auf Korsika. Sie wurde als Festung auf einem hohen Felsen direkt am Meer erbaut. Hier ein Blick auf Bonifacio, der Berg im Hintergrund ist der Felsen bei der Ancien Ermitage de la Trinité.
The city is situated on a peninsula. North of the peninsula is a protected natural harbor.
Die Stadt liegt auf einer Halbinsel. Nördlich der Halbinsel liegt ein geschützter natürlicher Hafen.
Parking spaces are scarce in the old town of Bonifacio. At the western end of the peninsula there is a larger car park, with a good view of the port of Bonifacio.
Parkplätze sind Mangelware in der Altstadt von Bonifacio. Am westlichen Ende der Halbinsel befindet sich ein größerer Parkplatz, von dem man einen guten Ausblick über den Hafen von Bonifacio hat.
