welcome to the fifth part of our round trip on the Island of Corsica which takes us to the east side of Cap Corse.Hallo Steemit,
willkommen zum fünften Teil unserer Rundreise über die Insel Korsika, welche uns an die Ostseite des Kap von Korsika führte.
Everywhere in Corsica you can find the Saracen towers, such as the tower of Erbalunga in the picture below.
Überall auf Korsika findet man Sarazenentürme wie den Turm von Erbalunga im Bild unterhalb.
After we had spent the morning in Bastia, we set off for the Cape of Corsica at midday. The Cape of Corsica is a peninsula in the north east, about 40 km long and 10 km wide.
Nachdem wir den Vormittag in Bastia verbracht hatten, brachen wir am späten Vormittag in Richtung Kap von Korsika auf. Das Kap von Korsika ist eine Halbinsel im Nordosten, ca. 40 km lang und 10 km breit.
On the east coast of the peninsula are several villages with small beaches.
An der Ostküste der Halbinsel befinden sich etliche Ortschaften mit kleinen Badebuchten.
At noon we took a break at the beach of Pietracorbara.
Mittags machten wir eine Pause am Strand von Pietracorbara.
A Saracens tower at a small bathing place. Unfortunatly I can't remember the name of the town.
Ein Sarazenenturm an einer kleinen Badestelle, an den Namen der Ortschaft kann ich mich leider nicht mehr erinnern.
The water around Corsica is very clean and has a very nice color in the sunlight.
Das Wasser rund um Korsika ist sehr sauber und hat im Sonnenlicht eine sehr schöne Farbe.
Just before the northern tip of the peninsula is the bay of Meria, dominated by the imposing Torre Genovese.
Kurz vor der Nordspitze der Halbinsel befindet sich die Bucht von Meria, welche vom impossanten Torre Genovese dominiert wird.
You should not get off the road here, because it is steep down to the sea, even if it is not too high.
Von der Straße sollte man hier besser nicht abkommen, denn es geht hier steil runter zum Meer, auch wenn es nicht zu sehr hoch ist.
