I am Teaming Up
My @derangedvisions witness officially shut down about 8:30 this morning. Like I said in my last witness update, the cost of running a solo witness server and the time commitment that it takes were getting too much for me at the moment, so I decided to shut down my witness. This afternoon, @c0ff33a and I were talking and we decided that it would beneficial if we teamed up our efforts to be a single "Witness Entity".
For those of you that haven't had the pleasure to meet @c0ff33a yet, he is a member of The Alliance, but he spends a lot of time going through posts on Steemit and curating. I am not sure how he is able to get so much done during the day and go through so many posts, but he is definitely dedicated to the Steemit community and rewarding quality content creators.
It Just Makes Sense
@c0ff33a was there for me through my whole time as a witness and answered so many of my questions from setting up the witness to troubleshooting when I had problems. So he is very knowledgable on the technical side of being a witness.
Both him and I were side by side in the witness ranks during the time that I was running my separate witness. It just made sense for us to combine our efforts together to push forward. Our goals for the Steemit align because we are both focused on building up and supporting communities and rewarding quality creators here.
Stats
So far the @c0ff33a witness has missed 1 block and that was the very first block because of an issue getting the witness set up initially. During the fiasco when the blocks stopped, @c0ff33a was on top of things and put the witness into maintenance mode to prevent missed blocks and started the update once it was released.
We are currently running Steem v0.19.10 and everything is running smooth. The price feeds are being updated consistently without any issues.
