Today marks my 3rd week "anniversary" of waking up early. That means if it takes 21 days to develop a habit, then mine has already developed.![flat,550x550,075,f.u2.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmRm9151TaYvJVs27Nqrj9WwQAEwTFVXXXqd3v1ne6HDPe/flat%2C550x550%2C075%2Cf.u2.jpg) Anyway, whether or not that's true (it probably isn't), I'm glad to be waking up early now and plan on maintaining that habit forever. Now I don't know what my next goal will be, but I'll have one in due time. However, I'm the type of person who won't be motivated to change unless I "experience" something convincing me to do so. For example, even though I knew the benefits of waking up in the morning, I couldn't *visualize* the difference it would make. I was also comfortable staying up all night; what I *didn't* like were the **consequences**. And that's the thing: #### We like our bad habits, we just don't like their consequences. People like junk food, but they don't like being obese. People like smoking a lot, but they don't like the c-word (not that one; the 6-lettered c-word). Observing the struggles of others with the same bad habits, or finding yourself in a situation that *really* makes you understand how self-destructive your habits are, can be a huge motivation slap while you still have the time to change. Alright, that's it for now. That was my update.
