SEORANG sahabat Steemians melewati hari-hari yang berat dalam sejak sepekan terakhir ini dan entah sampai kapan akan berakhir. Waktu seakan merayap perlahan, terlati-tatih melewati detik demi detik, menit demi menit, jam demi jam, sampai hari berganti. Ibarat sepasang kaki, sang waktu telah lumpuh dalam melangkah.

Tentu saja bukan waktu yang salah sehingga membuat sahabat Steemians kita itu gundah. Waktu yang ia lewati hari ini, sama dengan hari kemarin dan kemarinnya lagi. Jumlahnya juga sama: 24 jam sehari. Namun, semua yang ia lakukan menjadi hambar, keceriaan hilang entah di mana. Dia menjadi tidak bersemangat, mengisi hari dengan menangis. Kadang kesibukan membuatnya tenggelam, tetapi sekejap kemudian kesedihan kembali mendera. Dia susah move on.

Semuanya karena orang yang melahirkannya di dunia ini sudah pergi selamanya. Ibunya meninggal setelah dirawat di rumah sakit. Sahabat Steemians kita itu sudah mencoba untuk ikhlas, selalu berdoa untuk ibunya. Tetapi tidak bertahan lama. Ketika berdoa, ia ingat ibunya dan itu membuatnya menangis. Ketika bekerja, ia ingat ibunya dan itu juga membuat air matanya tumpah. Ketabahan, kesabaran, ikhlas, selalu mudah untuk diucap tetapi sulit diterapkan. Dia menulis puisi untuk ibu dan diposting di Steemit, itu pun membuat air matanya terus mengucur. Luruh ke bumi.

Semua orang yang dekat dengan ibu, pastilah bisa memaklumi suasana hati sahabat Steemians itu. Kita hidup sembilan bulan 10 hari di rahim ibu. Kita mengalami masa-masa tak berdaya semasa bayi, tetapi itulah masa-masa bahagia bagi ibu. Kita menangis tengah malam, ibu mengorbankan masa istirahatnya agak kita kembali terlelap. Seorang ibu dengan senang hati memberikan darah dagingnya untuk kita anaknya. Air susu ibu adalah sumber kehidupan.

Setelah besar, setelah kita bekerja dan menjadi orang sukses, berapa banyak waktu yang ia alokasikan untuk ibu? Apakah kita bersedia mengorbankan kepentingan kantor untuk melihat ibu, memenuhi semua kebutuhannya sendiri meski kita mampu membayar seorang perawat? Sebesar apa bakti kita untuk sang ibu?

Semua Steemians pastilah memiliki pengalaman berbeda. bersyukurlah bila masih memiliki ibu dan masih mendapatkan kesempatan untuk berbakti kepadanya (dan juga kepada ayah—tentu saja). Banyak tokoh besar di Indonesia dan di dunia, ternyata rahasianya ia sangat menghormati ibunya. Ibu berperan dalam keputusan-keputusan penting yang secara professional tidak dikuasainya.

Tetapi naluri seorang ibu tidak pernah menipu, tidak pernah mengkhianati anaknya. Wajar saja kalau sahabat Steemians kita itu tenggelam dalam duka yang dalam. Namun, hidup harus berlanjut. Mendoakan ibu dan menjaga silaturrahim dengan orang-orang yang dikasihi Ibu semasa hidup, itu yang terus dan terus dilakukan. Hari ini, Jumat 22 Desember merupakah Hari Ibu. Ini hanyalah sebuah penanda saja. Sesungguhnya, setiap hari adalah Hari Ibu. Kita merayakannya dengan berbakti kepada ibu, mencurahkan waktu dan cinta kepada ibu. Kasih sayang ibu berdenyut dalam nadi dan detak jantung kita. Jangan pernah melupakannya.
