Hardfork 19 is here and WhaleShares rewarded everyone who have trusted the project from the start (even though we are still in the alpha!). Previously I was writing about WhaleShares being overvalued with its currrent price of 1.9 BTS per token. 100 WhaleShares would give you between 15-30 dollars and it was not worth at all to buy them from the exchange.
WhaleShares tokens surged massively as they are 4 times stronger now. There were discussions that the whale votes will be less strong after HF19 so people were selling those tokens really cheap. Oh they were so wrong! You can think of it as selling Bitcoin at it's lowest point and after you sold, it surged 100% up and it never came back to the lowest point.
Right now you can buy 1 WhaleShares token for 5 BTS. Everything below this price was bought up. You can see the current price on the BitShares exchange - https://bitshares.org/wallet/#/market/WHALESHARE_BTS.
Probably even 5 BTS for a token is a good price, problem is that you have to consider the voting power of the whale that is doing all the voting. Right now it is just OfficialFuzzy.
I am hoping Htooms will also join the cause soon.
WhaleShares tokens are very strong now. They could increase payouts by 100-250 dollars, give you more visibility, bring you more followers and increase your reputation.
They can seem expensive for you, but they could probably surge even more later in time. Using them to increase your payout is just one thing the token can do.
- WhaleShares is also a community of people. On our discord you can get to know some amazing people on and help each other out. Maybe you will not even have to use that many WhaleShares as you will be getting votes from other sources too!
- If more people join WhaleShares and delegate some steem power into the voting account, the power of those votes will be stronger and thus increasing the potential payouts even more!
But there is still time to get some! There are still contests with WhaleShares prizes. Try to get some even if you have doubts about WhaleShares before!
