Getting Lost in Venice!

Venice, Italy

Well Steemians, we are on our last leg of our trip to Italy. We arrived in Venice around noon today and spent the afternoon wandering through the streets getting lost and enjoying the amazing, unique place that is Venice! It is so strange going from Rome and Florence where there are cars everywhere to Venice where I won't see a single car until we take a taxi to the airport Friday morning!

Venice is as much a maze as it is a city! Without our map I don't think there is anyway we would be able to get around, something I actually enjoy, it really is an adventure finding your way around!

We did manage to make our way to Piazza San Marco and the Doge's Palace, but other than that we spent the day just wandering around right up until we took the obligatory gondola ride! The Mrs. doesn't exactly like being in little boats so the first 10 minutes of the ride were spent with her squeezing my arm as tight as possible, the last 20 minutes were fantastic though (slowly the feeling in my fingers came back). I highly recommend everyone take a gondola ride, it might be one of those generic, cheesy things to do, but it just felt like we had actually arrived in Venice after we rode the gondola.

Now onto some of my favorite photos from today.
Hope you all enjoy!

Hope you all enjoyed, stay tuned for more to come the next couple days! We're traveling to Murano and Burano tomorrow!

Bonus pic of me struggling to stay awake before our gondola ride, it was a long day of traveling!
