On a very brief stopover last time in Miami, I decided to stay at the Royal Palm. My favorite Hotels were all 450++ (+ resort fees), so I booked the Royal Palm at a very affordable price (less than 170$ all-in)

The Hotel's pool area is under construction, so is other parts of the hotel, so you can expect construction noise in the daytime (this explained the 50% off price..)

So the Royal Palm is a nice Hotel, but I would not rate it 5-Star. The rooms are 4-Star at best, but I wont't complain as most Hotels in the US are too over-rated. A 5-Star in the US barely is a 3-4 Star in Asia. Location is very good, so for this price it's a real bargain in Miami.

The staff at the Hotel was nice, the GM sent a handwritten note in German and provided me a bottle of Champagne. That was a very nice welcome gift ! The breakfast at this Hotel was not worth a single picture, but i made bunch of pictures at some restaurants in Miami, so I will write another post.

Miami Beach has become expensive lately but it is always good to stay there, as my favorite Restaurants and Bars like Bagatelle, Kotai, Delano etc. are in walking distance.
