Before Steemit I have been browsing reddit and facebook almost all the time. Right now, I do not even know they exist, I just dont care about them anymore.
I am not sure where I have found Steemit - silly me - but probably it was when I was browsing coincap for more good coins to invest time in. I saw steem with still a really low market cap (the price for one steem was probably 0.58$, maybe even less by that time) and I wanted to see about what it is.
I was thrilled and I registered on Steemit. It was hard for me to assimilate as I am not native english speaker, but after I started to really put an effort on my posts and really tried to not have grammatical errors on my posts, people really started to like them. That is when it broke in me and I left almost all social medias to go full steemit!
When I was younger I was writing stories, blogs and things like that all the time. I have always liked writing. What I like the most about Steemit is how diverse it is. It does not matter if you write about games, your life or your meal in the restaurant, some people will always like your content. And did I mention that there are so many smart people that are really worth to follow? Also I am part of whaleshares project and there are many amazing people which I did not know about with really great ideas and innovations.
My short term goal on steemit right now is to get more followers and viewers to increase visibility of my content and then use my own following to help others. As a minnow my powers here are really limited right now, but I hope it will change later in time.
Steemit helped me with my writing skills and my english. Also I find a lot of fascinating people and information which I could not get elsewhere as this information is an original content from Steemit! I also see this platform as amazing starter for every cryptocurrency enthusiast and also a great investment.
Steemit is still "new", but it is starting to see the shine! The price is surging, more and more people are joining to the steemit platform and a lot of layers are being made on top of the blockchain (chainbb, eSteem, busy). The difference between 2 dollar per steem right now and 10 dollars per steem is massive, but it does not look even that hard to achieve. I think it is very possible in a year or so. I hopefully will be a dolphin by then and will help people from my country to start their own journey here.
