Hi everyone,
what can I tell you about these photos? We took this photo in Colorado, at the Great Sand Dunes, it was an amazing view. There was sooo much Sand and you wouldn't expect it to be there! Why should it? First of it started around 12000 years ago, when the dunes were formed from sand and soil deposits of the Rio Grande, flowing through the San Luis Valley. This was a short history lesson, hope I gave you the right information. (Wikipedia - US/GER - different Information)
Now to the photo! My sister, a friend and I were on our Roadtrip through the US and we wanted to see as many beautiful landscapes as possible and when we arrived at the Great Sand Dunes it was mesmerizing, amazing and we couldn't believe our eyes. I think we got a really great shot in the first picture, it took us about 2 hours to the top and lucky us some other people were walking at the top, where this beautiful shot was taken. Was kann ich euch über die Fotos erzählen? Dieses Foto wurde in Colorado aufgenommen, um genau zu sein bei den Great Sand Dunes, eine richtig beeindruckende Aussicht. Es war unglaublich viel Sand, was aber so beeindruckend war es passte nicht ganz hinein, die Umgebung war komplett grün und Berge herum, also überhaupt nicht wie man es sonst kennt Wieso also war hier so viel Sand zu finden? Eine kurze Geschichtsstunde: Die Sanddünen enstanden vor ca. 12.000 Jahren durch Sandablagerungen des Rio Grande und seinen Nebenflüssen. Über Jahrtausende haben westliche Winde die Sandkörner von den Flussufern durch das Tal geweht und am Fuß der Sangre de Cristo Range abgelagert. Ich hoffe die Informationen sind richtig! Nun zum Foto! Meine Schwester, eine Freundin und auf einem Roadtrip durch die USA unterwegs und wir wollten natürlich so viele schöne Landschaften wie nur möglich besuchen und als wir dann an den Sanddünen ankamen waren wir sprachlos. Wir haben ganze 2Stunden auf die Spitze gebraucht, und mit unserem Glück haben wir dieses Foto geschossen, wo eine weitere Gruppe oben an der Spitze unterwegs war.
