It's not nice out today. We had a little more snow, so it may be slippery and my running shoes don't have much grip. I don't want to risk any more injuries. Instead I did a workout using the 7 Minutes Workout app. This takes you through a series of 30 second exercises with 10 seconds of 'rest' between them. Doesn't sound a lot, but it gets you working. There's a good mix to work all parts of the body. I've been doing the whole lot twice. I want to build parts other than my legs.
You don't need the app, but it's handy to keep you going. This video takes you through all the exercises.
My weight dropped another kilo this week. I don't need to lose much, but I don't mind losing some fat. I've been lucky in that I don't tend to put on too much weight. I see a lot of guys my age who develop a 'beer belly' and I'd rather not. Some of my trousers were getting a bit tight a while back, but they are okay now.
This app and others I use integrate with Google Fit so I can see how much I've done. That includes all the walking I do. That's gone up a lot with my current job. I used to struggle to do 1000 steps a day before (if not running), but now it's regularly 8000 or more without trying.
I'll try to do something at least three times each week to maintain my fitness. It's less than two months until the half marathon, so I can't let it slip.
