Vários países ao redor do mundo estão disputando uma corrida pela descoberta de aplicações para um material conhecido como "a maravilha da química".

O grafeno, um derivado do grafite, tem um mercado estimado em bilhões de dólares, e promete uma revolução tecnológica nas indústrias automotiva, aeroespacial, biomédica, eletrônica e nas telecomunicações.

Para quem ainda não o conhece, eu separei esse ótimo documentário realizado pelo Matéria de Capa, programa da TV Cultura transmitido no dia 24/03/2018.

O Brasil se encontra em uma posição privilegiada, com uma das maiores reservas de grafiti do mundo. A descoberta do grafeno em 2004, garantiu o premio Nobel de física de 2010 a Andre Geim e Konstantin Novoselov.

Em janeiro de 2017 o Deputado Estadual, Jair Bolsonaro postou um vídeo na Internet falando do grafeno. Hoje o Mackgraphe é o primeiro laboratório do Brasil e da América Latina voltado para pesquisas com o grafeno.

Infelizmente, nem todos os nossos políticos estão levando a sério uma das maiores descobertas da última década, o mesmo aconteceu com a Blockchian.

Se continuarmos assim, perderemos sempre o trem do desenvolvimento e dificilmente vamos conseguir resolver os problemas econômicos e sociais no nosso país.

Unfortunately, not all of our politicians are taking one of the biggest discoveries of the last decade seriously, so has Blockchian.

If we continue this way, we will always lose the train of development and we will hardly be able to solve the economic and social problems in our country.
