Yesterday I received author rewards from my two posts (the Polish and the English) in which I promised to transfer their liquid payouts to support the mission of The Bastiat Society Venezuela.
Thanks to your upvotes and resteems - special thanks go to @lipszczak - we gathered almost 10 SBD in liquid rewards. The Polish post received 7.157 SBD + 3.961 STEEM POWER, and the English post received 2.435 SBD + 1.349 STEEM POWER (you can check it here). That gives 9.592 SBD of combined liquid rewards. I added a little bonus and transferred a round 15 SBD to the director of the institute, Leonardo Brito AKA @vidadiamante, towards supporting the actions of The Bastiat Society Venezuela. The transfer is visible in my history.
Leonardo thanked me in his e-mail for the support and told me that they will use the money to buy libertarian books in Spanish. He mentioned earlier, in this comment, that they give away these books at their event, organized 3-4 times per month.
They also accept the book donations directly - if you're interested in making such donation, you can send an e-mail to [email protected] and ask for details. Leonardo mentioned at the end of his today's e-mail that Caracas is under protests like a war zone now.
Fingers crossed for the libertarian changes in Venezuela!
