TERRACOTTA CAT SCULPTURE
Hello dear friends!
Sorry for my absence the last few days but I had too many things to do again :-))))
This is another terracotta kitten I modeled in France.
The story of this little cat is a bit longer than that of the other terracotta kittens: I modeled it a few years ago when I was in Paris, and the neighbor's cat called Haribo was my model.
When I had finished modelling it, it went in a special oven to obtaine the terracotta.
Once finished, I took it with me to Vienna as gift for my teacher Carlo Wimmer, the only pupil of Gustinus Ambrosi. He was very happy with it and kept it in his studio.
Unfortunately, three years ago Carlo died and I was very disappointed, even though he was already quite old.... He was the only person who really understood me and I miss him so much!!!!!
So the sculpture came back to me, and only now, after more than three years, I took it with me from Vienna and I photographed it....

Scusate l' assenza degli ultimi giorni ma avevo di nuovo troppe cose da fare :-)))
Questo é un altro gattino in terracotta che avevo modellato in Francia.
La sua storia é un po' piú lunga di quella degli altri gattini in terracotta: l' ho modellato qualche anno fa quando stavo a Parigi, e a farmi da modello era il gatto del vicino che si chiamava Haribo.
Finito di modellarlo l' ho messo a cuocere in un forno speciale ottenedo la terracotta.
Una volta cotto l' ho portato con me a Vienna per regalarlo al mio maestro Carlo Wimmer, unico allievo di Gustinus Ambrosi. Ne era molto contento e lo conservava nel suo studio.
Purtoppo tre anni fa Carlo é morto e io ci sono rimasta molto male, anche se era giá abbastanza anziano…. Era l' unica persona che mi capiva veramente e mi manca enormemente!!!!!
La scultura é tornata perció da me, e solo ora, dopo piú di tre anni l' ho riportata via con me e l' ho fotografata….
As the terracotta is enamelled it always reflects in different colours depending on the light and what is around it.
Siccome la terracotta é smaltata riflette sempre in colori differenti a dipendenza della luce e di ció che gli sta intorno.

So now this kitten, after many trips has returned home and will stay with me :-D

Insomma ora questo gattino, dopo molti viaggi é tornato a casa e resterá da me :-D
