Food photographs in Ratha Yatra Fair

Yesterday I was busy to celebrate Ratha Yatra Festival in our locality. There I captured some photos of traditional Bengali foods. Here I share a few of them (All the photographs were captured during a heavy rain shower & night, so, quality is not so good)-

Jalebi or, Jelapi

Preparation of Jalebi

What is Jalebi ? It's a traditional Bengali sweets and very popular like as Rossagula. The preparation method is simple - first you need to make a mixture with flour, oil & water.

- Then pour oil on fry pan.

- Pour the mixture of the flour in zig zag form to the fry pan. Fry in deep.

- When the zig zag raw Jalebi turns to brown color then remove them from pan

- Take another pan. Pour sugar and make a thick sugar syrup.

- Soak the zig zag raw Jalebi for at least 30-40 minutes. Remove them and keep them to absorb all syrup.

- Your favourite Jalebi is now ready.

Another traditional Bengali sweets Gaja

At the end I share also some ingredients of sweet "Bengali Pan" (Betel Leaves).
