Cyborg as an improved human alternative?
What until recently was only science fiction, It could be becoming a near reality, thanks to technological advances, although it is still undergoing experimentation. Technology is moving towards "increasing" natural human capacities with cybernetic devices capable of creating superhumans, the chips that are installed in the brain would contribute to improving human capabilities, beyond current limitations, such as aging, disease, the limitations of speed, strength, endurance and intelligence.
Without a doubt, this is now a boom that attracts the attention of many, especially the youngest who see technology as a world without borders that they don't want to stay out of. But, it seems quite likely that commercial influences, together with the social desire to communicate more effectively with a perception of the richest world, lead us to fall into a rapacious mercantilism that is well known, generates an unfair competition, that exacerbates to the demons that every human has.
Practically, would people be forced to install chips in their brains?
Technology is expensive and many will never be able to access it, therefore, very few will be superhuman. The differences in the balance of the world will deepen, yes, and will increase the power of a few over the majority, which does not inform important changes for society, always managed in those terms.
Will cyborgs be superheroes?
An individual with increased abilities is not necessarily synonymous with "superhero", the use he gives to his "super powers" will depend a lot on his inner formation, his values and spirituality. The human soul is what breathes greatness into the organism and not all the rich and powerful possess magnanimous souls, foolishness and greed for power overcomes the possibility of wanting superpowers to help the helpless, fight for justice or save the world.
However, we are stepping on the ground of the future, elucidating on a supposed future. Although, in that, we are all superhuman, we have a great imagination that puts us in context and allows us to anticipate "living" in a world of cyborgs. And, in this case, although in recent times Hollywood has created new Super Heroes and has renewed old ones, they are still fantasies that encourage children and adolescents to dream of worlds supported by gifted beings, who expose their lives and put his powers the service of the good of humanity; reality leads us to suppose that beings with extra abilities resulting from the implantation of cyber chips would not be aimed towards ends known until now.
Would implanting a chip in people's brains make life much better and easier?
Connecting a human brain, through an implant, with a computer network could expand the advantages of artificial intelligence, as well as the communicative and sensory abilities of the implanted individual. The human being understands the world in three dimensions and communicates through speech, mainly, that it is a slow system compared to a computer network that has a very diverse communicative capacity and handles many dimensions. Consequently, it could be said that this technological advancement is capable of facilitating many aspects of life, as we know it. But, making life much better will depend on the mental, emotional and spiritual evolution of humanity.
Then, given the possibility of being superhuman with powers to be heroes or villains, with super earthly abilities extensible to multiple dimensions and infinite unimaginable applications that would challenge the boundaries between being or not being what we are not by nature, and win and lose aspects that define us as living, organic and spiritual beings, I would say that I prefer to remain human.
