"What is the root of conflict between Humankind? What needs are not being met?"

Such a huge question, where to begin? There are so many things that cause conflict between humankind and they only seem to increase as time passes. As we evolve and move forward it seems as though we are moving further away from one another, creating more and more barriers, on both a physical and psychological level.

But where does all this stem from, this idea that some are above others, simply because of their race, their class, their religion, their sex, their species ? Giving some people, the crazy idea, that they have the right to dominate and control others. To have such a self righteous point of view.

There is a huge disconnection here, one that leads to a belief, that humans are the most important species on the planet and that they have the right to do as they please. That the earth is theirs for the taking and that they have the right to own what they lay claim to. The only interaction, they have with the natural world, is when they are seeking to control and abuse it. To take what they see as valuable from it, with total disregard for the destruction that they causing.

For Sure, it is easier to commit these crimes when you feel no connection to the land and to all that live amongst her. This dominant worldview, is in my opinion the root of all conflict between humankind. Where nature is valued only by what it can provide for mankind. Where communities are very centralized and national based, causing huge segregation between humans and other beings. Where the main focus of growth is based on consumerism and people handing over their power to professionals, who are deemed more educated and knowledgeable.

I am not saying that there is no need for medical or educational professionals, only that we need to rethink how we involve them in our lives, to find a way where we take back control for our own health and education and that of our children. This disconnection from our own health and well being , it comes from a disconnection from nature. It all stems from that. Dominance and control, first of our natural world and then all her occupants.

When you have a deep connection to the earth, when you see your role in the great web of life, a part of the natural cycle, you can not ignore the destruction, the pain , the devastation. You can not ignore it and You fully understand that everything we do to the earth, we do to ourselves.

Being disconnected allows one to act however they please, to see our life sources as commodities, to treat our brothers and sisters as slaves, to slaughter and abuse animals, to mine and rape the earth so that they can gain in material wealth. Bleeding everything and everyone dry, all in the name of progress, in the name of economic and material growth.

We are a part of the earth, a part of the organic whole , but when we begin to separate ourselves from nature, we then begin to separate ourselves from all beings. Instead of celebrating and embracing diversity, we are judgemental and fearful, we are continuing this destructive cycle of segregation.

Indeed losing that connection has meant that so many have lost their way and over time have lost all awareness, so deep these roots of dominance and segregation run.

As to what needs are not being met, well for those who are so disconnected the overall needs of their well being, the needs of the earth, are not being met by humankind. Having no faith in their own bodies, in the many natural healing properties of nature, they have moved away from a natural way of life.

Losing that connection with their natural self, so that their lives are nourished by processed foods, pharmaceutical medicines and an accumulation of 'stuff' to try and fill a hole. A hole created by their disconnection, being disconnected from what their bodies really need.

Our lives can not be whole, not unless we re-connect with the organic whole. Not unless we embrace the earth and all of her cycles. WE need to embrace her wisdom, to become a part of her intrigue dance, a dance of unity between humans, animals, plants and the earth!
