Today I went out for another CleanPlanet Walk! 😁. I had intended to go out to the nature area behind the local high school where there always seems to be a huge buildup of garbage blowing from the parking lots into the wetlands.
I decided to pick up the bits of trash on the way...but by the time I actually got there, the bag was pretty much overflowing. 😢
Still, I did get some of the plastic on the near side of the area.
Kinda hard to see the bits of rubber and candy wrappers all in there, but it looks better now.
Lots of cigarette butts and plastic bottles, as usual. Hoping I’m maybe making up for my younger days when I mindlessly chucked my butts out the car window.
Another bag full in the bin!
Got a pretty good haul today as well. An Allen wrench tool, an s hook, some washers and a nut that I’ll find some use for, wiring that I’ll strip and recycle the copper, and a dime...well, money is money, it goes in the coin jar for a rainy day. 🤗
