Get ready to be stunned! 

Pollen, dust, pet dander, crumbs, soil, it all  has a way of accumulating on the floor of our homes! Vacuum cleaners are great modern appliances for  keeping our homes clean but check out how much dirt they actually leave behind!

This Floor Looks Shiny And Clean Right?  Don't Be Fooled!

After vacuuming this floor it was time to pass over it with a swiffer! 

Note: swiffer is the brand name for a line of of products introduced in 1999 by Procter and Gamble.

Shown above is the floor of a physio therapy practice that my company cleans every day! It has already been vacuumed but watch what happens when I pass over it again with a swiffer!

Here Comes The Shock!

It is amazing how much dirt the vacuum leaves behind!

And no, it's not because I used a lousy vacuum cleaner. You will find similar results if you try this at home! 

Swiffers And The Eviroment!

It has been estimated that each year North Americans spend $800 million on cleaning wipes! That's enough to fill 9,000 18-wheel trucks! Most of them are not bio degradable but thankfully there are plenty of re-usable micro fiber wipes to choose from. I just vacuum off the dirt and they're  good to go again! 

Quick Tips For keeping Your Floors Clean!

• Don't be like me, listen to your wife and only eat in the kitchen especially if she's just cleaned. Or, don't listen to her but pay the consequences! Note: The consequences may vary greatly from wife to wife!
• Use floor mats at entrances to keep outdoor dirt from spreading inside.
• Use different shoes or wear slippers indoors!
• Use a swiffer on hard floors as it saves time and does a great job!

Maybe Vacuum Cleaners aren't The Greatest But They Can Be a Lot of Fun!
