Hello:)

Porsche unveiled its new 911 GT2 RS at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Presentation...

The most powerful and fastest 911 homologated for the road is dropped! The Porsche 911 GT2 RS has just been unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (29), which was spotted a few days ago at the Los Angeles video game show at Forza Motorsport 7. June to July 2).

As expected, this extreme version, which marks the end of life of the 911 Type 991, is full of eyes. Gaping air inlets, protruding skirt, carbon fiber and exaggerated rear spoiler are part of the panoply. Inside, there is red Alcantara and black leather, a sport steering wheel, bucket seats and an arch. But it is mainly for its mechanics that the German coupe is worth the trip.
700 ch!

The auto inherits indeed from a new boxer biturbo engine. Designed from the 3.8L block of the 911 Turbo S (580 hp), it boasts 700 horsepower, 80 equines more than the 3.6L six-cylinder of the previous 911 GT2 RS (type 997). The maximum torque passes from 700 to 750 Nm.

Combined not with a six-speed manual transmission but with a seven-speed double clutch (PDK), this engine allows the Teutonic rocket to drop from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.8 seconds with a maximum speed of 340 km / h. By way of comparison, his predecessor claimed a 0 to 100 in 3.5 seconds and a peak at 330 km / h. All is said.
