Yesterday, on day two of our Steemit weekend the BXB Bitcoin Exchange Meetup + Steemit Meetup took place and to all our surprise @aaronkoenig managed to organize a Skype call with Co-Founder and CEO of Steemit @ned ! Pretty much our reaction:
We, as the German Community of Steemit received great support from him, informative responses and he gladly answered all questions that were asked and left a great live impression.. very confident, pleasant and humble. He mentioned a Steemit Convention that is likely to be held Europe still this year, where we all might soon meet in person, connect and meet Steemers from many different countries, I think that would be awesome. I would love to see the meetups we do extend as they already are a lot of fun and can only get bigger and better.
Thank you Ned, for your time!
Also thank you @aaronkoenig for doing a great job at hosting, organizing the meetup and of course for the ice cream!
After our call with Ned, we took a quick break to chat, welcome new faces to Steemit and of course eat some ice cream. If you ever want to eat ice cream in Berlin go to: Oak & Ice ! They have the best flavors and you can pay with Bitcoin, maybe soon in Steem..
Then we had our first presentation, held by @sirwinchester who firstly introduced himself with the story how he got started with Bitcoin and later Steemit. He in detail explained the concept of Steemit and even showed those who were new to Steemit how Steemit works, demonstrating Voting Power.
Finally I held my presentation on the growth of Steemit, the issues we are facing and possible solutions. "When Blockchain meets Blogger" I named my presentation and is focused on making Steemit accesible for everyone, non-techie people and Social Media Blogger. I enjoyed and am thankful for the opportunity to preseng my thoughts like this and network with like-minded people.
This weekend was a fun Steemit weekend! I would love to connect even further and maybe for the next meetup record and go live so that anyone can participate, be a part of Q&A's and wild discussions.
That's it for the recap of my Steemit weekend. Thanks to @film-editor for pictures! I'm now back in Hamburg, but will already be back in Berlin next weekend for a different occasion, I will most likely also steem about..
