If we want to get Millions of new users from the developing world, we should start with Africa, and to get Africans on Steemit, we need to help get them better access to Smartphones, Solar Powered Battery chargers and the wifi and 3g/4g mobile internet will follow once we help create new users/customers/consumer base! Solar battery chargers are an ESSENTIAL tool for getting Africa Online and I just got a few in the mail and will be shipping them to @ortigas100 to use and document nd tel us if it helped him and if these devices can be distributed across Africa via Steemit networks!
Users like @xpency @tj4real and now another user @gavvet has been brought to my attention talking about how Africa LEAPFROGS with technology! @gavvet/the-african-leapfrog
So while the west spends years and billions on buying new generations of iphones and getting costs down, the African Continent gets to inherit perfectly working androids and a whole software ecosystem, basically allowiung Africa to SKIP AHEAD alot of steps western nations had to go through! Similar to how China just goes though 100 years of industrialization in just 20 years!
Here is a post where I suggested we buy some buy solar powered battery chargers to send to our African Steemit users....
@ackza/solar-powered-battery-chargers-for-usd9-and-free-shipping-can-help-steemit-users-in-developing-countries-stay-online-inside
So you can see I made a post addressing this problem after seeing this post by African Steemit User @ortiogas100 about how he wishes he had a way to have electricity when he goes through parts of the country without electricity. @ortigas100/nature-always-present-something-different-when-you-least-expect-it-s-beauty-3-days-out-without-steemit-its-like-hell-2017628t113914864z
And so I thought to myself, its a shame that he DOES have mobile internet, he DOES have a portable android computer in his pocket in the form of a smartphone, and I thought how much of a shame it is that the ONLY thing this man needs to stay on steemit longer, is a small solar powered battery! And so i found some for only $9 with free shipping on ebay from Malaysia!
LINK TO THE EBAY ITEM: https://www.ebay.com/i/111952495906
(and if it becomes sold out simply ebay search "Solar Power Battery Charger USB) and youll find them!)
Well i used some money from my Steemit Upgrade Africa posts and a package just arrived today and I recieved 3 Solar Charging battery USB phone chargers Units (or whatever we want to call them, i should place Steemit Logos to Brand these Steemit Solar Battery Chargers and a little logo of Africa and Steem Blockchain with the Sun and "Operation Upgrade Africa"
(See how the blue LEDs turn on as soon as any sort of light hits them? very cool to see a small solar panel work instantly like that to activate the blue charging LEDs, I only hope the battery charges up on a full day of sunlight, and that they work as cool as they look! I REALLY hope they work well because they look and feel so high tech very functional toys that actually do a very helpful magic trick! Get electricity to charge a smartphone from the sun! Makes TOO much sense to have everything solar powered! You start to see all the sunlight we DONT use as wasted electricity!!!
Ill be using one for myself to test and Ill ship 2 for now to the Steemit Users I had promised to send these to to help with their issue of going through electricity dead zones where they cant charge their phone BUT they have access to mobile cellphone internet, they just need more of these little solar powered battery charges which only cost $9 with free shipping! I only ordered 3 to test them out first. Even if the solar power doesn't work very well it still is useful as a simple battery you can charge up with USB, and If these work well I will order 10 more and ship them to our African Steemit representatives to sell a few for a nice profit to make nice steemit posts about it AND to hand out others to people who NEED them to stay online at night to keep posting on steemit!
@appiahgyan @tj4real @xpency @ortigas100 @kwabkess @mcsamm @othniel @benimahmud @foreigner
Im tagging you all to get attention to this project I have for #OperationUpgradeAfrica so we can figure this out as we go along (in True African style ;) )
Shot of the Back
And look they even have a small LED on the side so you can use these as a small solar powered flashlight!
So now we can start seeing how well these work in africa! Give these another week or two to reach @ortigas100 who had posted about how he cannot stand having no electricity how its like hell for him to be away from steemit! lets help these people STAY ONLINE!
here is a MAP of steemit users in Africa with West Africa being a Hotspot for both Bitcoin AND now steemit!
Any money i raise from this post I will use to buy and ship more solar panel battery chargers to Africa! i will now be shipping these 2 solar chargers to @ortigas100 and we will just keep shipping these to Africa untill more nd more african Steemit users have them a small but usable source of solar power!
That is the dream! A world where even someone considered "poor" has access to Internet, solar power, and a simple android smartphone which will allow them to watch all sorts of educational and culturally enriching and entertaining Videos or engage with others sharing their local customs on Steemit and social media, and imagine a world where anyone can order items they need using drone delivery, and everyone can contribute using the internet as a way to enhance everyones lives, we can get billions of new users online over the next few decades and we can get them ALL to join steemit!
