Originally the message board was created for the discussion of everything regarding Bitcoin. It has since grown to be the largest and one of the most important informational websites for Bitcoin and many of the Alt-coins. Bitcointalk.org's importance to the crypto-currency community places it at #10 on the list of the Top 50 Crypto-Currency website.

They are only a crypto to crypto exchange since they do not trade in fiat currency (Dollars). Poloniex was recently acquired by [Circle Internet Financial](https://www.circle.com/en/) for $400 Million Dollars. Circle owns a a peer to peer payment service called Circle Pay. This should definitely improve the experience for traders on Poloniex.com.
